Xilinx Q3 Profit Tops Estimate; Revenue Misses

(RTTNews) - Xilinx, Inc. (XLNX) reported net income for the third quarter of $175.9 million or $0.61 per share, compared to $103.6 million or $0.38 per share for the year-ago quarter.

The latest quarter results include the reversal of a litigation reserve with a net impact of $19 million, or $0.06 per share.

Net revenue for the third quarter rose 15% to $586.82 million from $509.77 million in the same quarter last year.

Analyst polled by Thomson Reuters expect the company to earn $0.54 per share on revenue of $600.61 million for the third quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking forward, the company forecast fourth quarter sales to be up 2% to 6% sequentially.
