Wizz Air Holdings Selects Pratt & Whitney GTF Engines To Power Airbus A321neo Aircraft, Stock Down

(RTTNews) - Wizz Air Holdings Plc (WIZZ.L), Tuesday announced the selection of the Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM geared turbofan engine to power its 177 firm Airbus A321neo aircraft, offering fuel efficiency and lower cost base.

In addition to the engine, Pratt & Whitney will also offer engine maintenance through a long-term EngineWise Comprehensive service agreement.

Jozsef Varadi, CEO of Wizz Air, commented, "This agreement is in line with our Customer First Compass strategy which puts the customer in the focus also by providing the best-in-class aircraft technology with the lowest emission intensity per passenger kilometre."

Currently, Wizz's stock is moving down 3.86 percent, to 1,097 pence on the London Stock Exchange.
