Wipro Q3 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Wipro Ltd. (WIT) reported 27% higher third-quarter net income from continuing operations of $325 million, or 20.1 billion rupees, which includes a non-recurring expense incurred due to the cessation of manufacturing Wipro branded desktop, laptops and servers. Last year, profit from continuing operations attributable to equity holders of the company reached 15.9 billion rupees. Earnings per share for the recent quarter amounted to $0.13.

Excluding the non-recurring expense, net profit from continuing operations was $328 million, or 20.3 billion rupees, a 28% growth year-over-year.

Quarterly revenues from continuing operations were $1.82 billion, or 113.3 billion rupees, an increase of 18% year-on-year, the company noted.
