Wincanton Selected As UK Supply Chain Partner For Williams-Sonoma Inc.

(RTTNews) - Wincanton PLC, (WIN.L), a provider of supply chain services, was awarded a multichannel contract for warehousing, store delivery and furniture home delivery services by U.S. specialty retailer Williams-Sonoma Inc. (WSM). The Group has been chosen as UK supply chain partner for Williams-Sonoma's debut into the UK market.

The retailer, which operates 590 stores in the U.S., Canada and Australia, would open its first European store on Tottenham Court Road in London this month under its West Elm brand. Wincanton said it would provide warehousing facilities at its site in West Thurrock, Essex and would also deliver products like furniture and accessories to the West Elm London store.

Further, Williams-Sonoma would make use of Wincanton's award-winning white-glove, two-man furniture home delivery and assembly service on a UK-wide basis.
