Williams-Sonoma Expands Upholstered Furniture Manufacturing Across U.S.

(RTTNews) - Williams-Sonoma, Inc. (WSM) said it is expanding its upholstered furniture manufacturing at Sutter Street Manufacturing, a subsidiary of Williams-Sonoma, Inc. The company said more than 500 full time jobs would be added at facilities in North Carolina, Texas and California.

Sutter Street Manufacturing is creating over 500 new full-time positions, in addition to the over 500 current full-time and seasonal associates. The new positions are intended to be filled by early 2015. Sutter Street Manufacturing is Williams-Sonoma's first wholly-owned and operated facility dedicated to the craft of furniture manufacturing. Over 100 different styles of upholstered furniture are produced by skilled craftsman for Williams-Sonoma, Inc. brands, including Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, PBteen, West Elm and Williams-Sonoma Home.

Currently, Sutter Street Manufacturing is accepting applications for production positions in Upholstery, Sewing and Frame Assembly categories.
