Visa Inc. Q4 Earnings Climb 27%

(RTTNews) - Visa Inc. (V) released a profit for its fourth quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $1.92 billion, or $0.78 per share. This was higher than $1.51 billion, or $0.62 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.73 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 19.3% to $4.26 billion. This was up from $3.57 billion last year.
