United Reports Flat June Traffic

(RTTNews) - United Airlines, a unit of United Continental Holdings, Inc. (UAL), said Wednesday that its consolidated traffic for the month of June remained flat with last year at 19.12 billion revenue passenger miles.

consolidated capacity for the month increased 0.8% to 21.96 billion available seat miles from 21.79 billion available seat miles in the same month last year.

June 2014 consolidated load factor decreased 0.6 points to 87.1% from 87.7% in June 2013.

United Continental Holdings said in a regulatory filing that its second-quarter consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile increased about 3.5% versus the second quarter of 2013. This is higher than the company's previous expectations due mainly to better than expected performance in the Pacific and Domestic regions.
