TJX Companies To Appoint Ernie Herrman As CEO - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - The TJX Companies, Inc. (TJX) announced that its Board has approved a CEO succession plan. The Board intends to elect Ernie Herrman to the position of CEO, effective at the beginning of the next fiscal year, January 31, 2016. Ernie Herrman has been President of The TJX Companies since January 2011. He will also retain his current title as President.

Carol Meyrowitz, current Chairman and CEO, will become Executive Chairman of the Board at the time of the CEO transition. Under a new three-year agreement, as Executive Chairman, Meyrowitz will remain an integral part of TJX's executive management team, the company said.
