The VWR Foundation Honors VWR's Sales Team With $100,000 Donation to Worthy Charities

RADNOR, Pa., Jan. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- During VWR's 2017 Americas Sales Conference, the VWR Foundation celebrated the Company's sales team by making charitable contributions in their honor.  The Foundation, dedicated to giving back to the science community, will be donating a total of $100,000 across 11 organizations in honor of key members of the VWR Sales team.

VWR, the leading global independent provider of product and service solutions to laboratory and production customers, supports the VWR Foundation by donating a portion of its VWR Collection product sales in the U.S. to the VWR Foundation.  In 2016, sales of these products raised $350,000 for the VWR Foundation.

Throughout the year, the Company conducts a competition between its Americas sales regions to determine the top sellers of the VWR Collection products. As part of this competition, the VWR Foundation makes a donation in the winners' honor. Quarterly and Regional winners are able to select an organization aligned to the VWR Foundation mission to receive this donation.

The 2016 winners selected the following organizations to receive contributions:

• Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago
• Children's Healthcare of Atlanta
• Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
• Gloucester County Special Services Education Foundation
• The Museum of Science and Industry
• Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey
• SickKids Foundation
• Science Olympiad
• SciTech Hands On Museum
• St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

VWR will continue to donate a portion of its U.S. VWR Collection sales to the VWR Foundation in 2017.  More details about this program are available at vwrfoundation.org.
