The project MOST21 selected on the superclusters shortlist
MONTREAL, Oct. 10, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - The government of Canada via Honorable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development has announced this afternoon the selection of MOST21 (Mobility Systems and Technologies for the 21st Century) on the supercluster shortlist, submitted by CAE as the main applicant.
This has been made possible thanks to the engagement of the mobility industry and teams from CARIC (Consortium for Aerospace Research and Innovation in Canada), GARDN (Green Aviation Research and Development Network) these past few months, and the support of provincial organizations such as AIAC Pacific, Manitoba Aerospace, OAC for Ontario, CRIAQ in Québec, Aéro Montréal and Springboard for the Atlantic. The project team would like to also thank AIAC which helped to elaborate this supercluster and facilitate the participation of the aerospace industry.
Under the leadership of CAE, a letter of intent was submitted along with 188 engagement and support letters from the industry.
"It's a strong message from the mobility industry: a willingness to participate actively to the creation of jobs and wealth in Canada. This supercluster may become a major player and narrative for Canada's role on the international scene" says Denis Faubert, CARIC's CEO.
We have once again been able to mobilize our industry, our regional and provincial partners for a national common project. CARIC is ready to put to use this expertise in a possible supercluster regardless its governance model. The existing cooperation model along with our exceptional innovation roadmap will define the success of MOST 21.
