Telecom Stocks Seeing Notable Strength In Late-Day Trading
(RTTNews) - Telecom stocks are seeing notable strength going into the close of trading on Friday, resulting in a 1.2 percent gain by the NYSE Arca Telecom Index. The index is on pace to end the session at its best closing level in a month.
Sprint (S) has led the sector after a report from Reuters said the wireless carrier is close to agreeing to tentative terms on a merger with T-Mobile (TMUS).
