Stryker Corp. Q4 Earnings Climb 7%

(RTTNews) - Stryker Corp. (SYK) released a profit for its fourth quarter that gained ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $591 million, or $1.56 per share. This was higher than $552 million, or $1.44 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.55 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 3.8% to $2.72 billion. This was up from $2.62 billion last year.
