Star Bulk Carriers Q3 Loss Narrows

(RTTNews) - Star Bulk Carriers Corp. (SBLK) reported third-quarter net loss of $0.2 million, or $0.01 per share, narrower than $308.7 million, or $57.15 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Adjusted net income for the latest third quarter $2.3 million, or $0.13 per share, compared to net loss of $3.8 million, or $0.70 per share in the prior year quarter.

Total revenues for the quarter declined to $17.73 million from $18.42 million in the year-ago period.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.06 per share on revenues of $15.42 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
