Sony Drops PS4 Price For Limited Time Staring Dec. 11

(RTTNews) - Sony announced Wednesday a temporary discount for the PlayStation 4, the same offer that was available on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Starting December 11 through December 24, the Japanese electronics maker will sell the Uncharted 4 PS4 Slim bundle for only $249.99 in the United States.

In Canada, the bundle will be offered for C$329.99 until December 29.

"We first brought you this deal during Black Friday weekend, and it was incredibly successful for PS4 sales so we decided to bring it back this month," the company said in a PlayStation Blog.

Sony noted that the Uncharted 4 PS4 bundle includes the slimmer PS4 model with a 500 GB hard drive, a DualShock 4, and the critically acclaimed Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.

The company will launch the new cooperative and solo mode, Uncharted 4: Survival this month.

The company, which released the new hardware like PlayStation VR and PlayStation Pro, as well as new games like The Last Guardian, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and Watch Dogs 2, said it would launch more games soon including God of War, Spiderman, Days Gone, and Horizon: Zero Dawn.

As of December 6, Sony is said to have sold more than 50 million PS4 units directly to the consumers. The original PlayStation 4 was launched back in 2013.
