Sonic Automotive Q3 Results Miss Estimates

(RTTNews) - Sonic Automotive, Inc. (SAH) reported net income for the third quarter of 24.7 million or $0.47 per share, compared to $23.3 million or $0.44 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Income from continuing operations for the third quarter was $24.6 million or $0.47 per share, compared to $24.7 million or $0.46 per share in the prior year quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings from continuing operations for the latest quarter were $0.46 per share.

Total revenue for the third quarter rose to $2.36 billion from $2.24 billion a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.48 per share on revenue of $2.37 billion for the third quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
