Smith & Nephew Q4 Revenue Rises - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Smith & Nephew Plc. (SN.L, SNN), a medical technology company, Thursday said its fourth-quarter consolidated revenue totaled $1.26 billion, up 1 percent from last year's $1.25 billion. Revenue grew 5 percent on an underlying basis.
Reported revenue reflected effects of 6 percent adverse currency headwind offset by a 2 percent benefit from acquisitions.
According to the company, Emerging Markets revenue growth was 2 percent, with strong growth in most markets offset by China.
For 2016, the company expects to deliver good underlying revenue growth and added that it would have expected trading profit margin to reach or exceed 24 percent in 2016. However, the company noted that its margin will be reduced by a significant 120 basis points transactional currency headwind based on current exchange rates.
Smith & Nephew said it will recommend a final dividend of 19 cents per share, or 38 cents per ADS. This, together with the Interim Dividend of 11.8 cents per share or 23.6 cents per ADS, will give a full year distribution of 30.8 cents per share or 61.6 cents per ADS, up 4 percent year-on-year.
