Sky-mobi Q1 Profit, Revenues Surge - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Sky-mobi Limited (MOBI), a mobile application platform in China, Tuesday reported a surge in its profit for the first quarter, as revenues grew more than 80 percent, mainly driven by the continued strong growth of smartphone business.

Net profit for the quarter rose more than 200 percent to RMB 14.6 million from RMB 4.76 million, and earnings per share surged to RMB 0.06 from RMB 0.02 last year. Non-IFRS net profit jumped 125 percent to RMB 20.0 million from RMB 8.9 million a year ago.

For the quarter, total revenue surged 81.2 percent to RMB 233.0 million. Revenue from smartphone business increased 150.5 percent to RMB 219.3 million.
