Sierra Wireless Q2 Loss From Cont. Ops. Narrows - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Sierra Wireless, Inc. (SWIR) reported a second quarter net loss from continuing operations of $6.74 million or $0.22 per share, compared to a loss of $8.87 million or $0.29 per share, last year.

Net earnings improved to $61.41 million or $2.00 per share, from $3.58 million or $0.12 per share, last year. The company said the year-over-year increase in net earnings mainly reflects the gain on the sale of the AirCard business.

Revenue increased to $109.59 million, from $95.40 million last year. Analysts expected revenue of $109.0 million for the quarter.

The company expects its third-quarter revenue in the range of $111.0 million to $115.0 million, and non-GAAP earnings per share in the range of $0.05 to $0.07. Analysts expect the company to report profit per share of $0.09 on revenue of $114.59 million.
