Semtech Corp Earnings Climb 46% In Q2

(RTTNews) - Semtech Corp (SMTC) announced a profit for its second quarter that gained ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $22.75 million, or $0.35 per share. This was up from $15.58 million, or $0.24 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.33 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 8.1% to $135.91 million. This was up from $125.71 million last year.
