Scott Neish Named President of Aerojet
SACRAMENTO, Calif., Nov. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- GenCorp Inc. today announced that J. Scott Neish will become president of Aerojet-General Corporation (Aerojet), and an officer of GenCorp effective December 1, 2005. Mr. Neish is currently Aerojet's executive vice president, a role he has held since earlier this year. He succeeds Michael Martin who has been a senior manager of the Company for 12 years, serving as Aerojet's president since 2001. Mr. Martin will remain an officer and vice president of GenCorp and assume a strategic advisory role.
Mr. Neish has been a leader in the propulsion industry for more than 20 years. Prior to relocating to Sacramento in 2004 as vice president, Operations, Mr. Neish was responsible for the performance of numerous technical and management roles at Aerojet's Redmond, WA, operation and its predecessors: General Dynamics -- OTS; Primex Aerospace Company; Olin Aerospace; and Rocket Research Company. His background includes planning, marketing and business development, product development and finance. He was also a key technical contributor to Redmond's world-class hydrazine engine product line.
