ScanSource Q2 Profit Rises; Issues Q3 Outlook

(RTTNews) - ScanSource, Inc. (SCSC) Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $18.3 million or $0.64 per share, compared to $16.4 million or $0.59 per share in the same period last year.

Net sales decreased to $740.62 million from $747.72 million last year.

On average, two analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.65 per share on revenues of $755.99 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking ahead to the third quarter, the company has forecast earnings in the range of $0.53 to $0.55 per share, with revenues ranging between $700 million and $720 million. Analysts currently expect third quarter earnings of $0.60 per share on revenues of $709.85 million.
