SafeNet Completes Acquisition of Eracom Technologies AG

The acquisition enhances SafeNet's Borderless Security Offering,with the addition of full disk and file encryption, and strengthensthe company's business in the financial services industry by openingopportunities in the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), credit card andATM markets, new segments of the company's already establishedfinancial services offering.

According to the plan previously announced, a subsidiary ofSafeNet, Inc., SafeNet Technologies B.V., acquired all the equityinterest of Eracom Technologies for a cash consideration of $25million. The acquisition is expected to be accretive within onequarter. The Eracom solutions will be integrated into SafeNet'sBorderless Business Unit, reporting to Chris Fedde, SVP EnterpriseDivision.
