Robert Douglass Transitions Presidency of First American Flood Data Se
DALLAS, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- First American Real Estate Information Services, Inc., a subsidiary of The First American Corporation , today announced that Robert Douglass has successfully transitioned his duties as president of First American Flood Data Services to Vicki Chenault and will now concentrate his efforts as chief financial officer of First American's Mortgage Information Services Group.
These new positions, as well as other significant executive changes within First American's Mortgage Information Services Group, were supported by the rapid growth experienced within the group of companies over the past several years. The revised internal structure will maintain and strengthen First American's leading mortgage information industry position.
Prior to joining First American, Douglass spent seven years as chief financial officer of PROcreate Partners, an Austin, Texas, venture capital company that specialized in technology start-ups. Douglass left the venture capital company in 1993 to join a startup in PROcreate Partners' portfolio aimed at providing flood zone information to the mortgage lending industry. He and the company, which had been renamed Flood Data Services, joined the First American Family of Companies in 1995. After serving as senior vice president of finance and administration with First American Flood Data Services, Douglass was named president in May 2000. He was appointed chief financial officer of the Mortgage Information Services Group in August 2003 while continuing his responsibilities as president of Flood Data Services.
His financial experience also includes four years with Coopers & Lybrand, now Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP. Douglass received his BBA in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and is a Certified Public Accountant.
In her new position, Chenault will oversee First American Flood Data Services' continued growth and will work to further expand the company's industry-leading market position.
Chenault joined First American Flood Data Services in January of 1997 as vice president of compliance and was promoted to senior vice president of operations in 1998. Her previous nine years were spent in mortgage servicing with Lomas Mortgage USA. She was responsible for implementing compliance with flood legislation in a large service organization. Chenault received her BBA in finance from Texas Tech University and a BS degree in accounting from the University of North Texas.
