Rent-A-Center Bottom Line Drops 76% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Rent-A-Center (RCII) announced earnings for third quarter that retreated compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $5.91 million, or $0.11 per share. This was lower than $24.82 million, or $0.47 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.09 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 12.3% to $693.88 million. This was down from $791.61 million last year.
