Renasant Announces Mobile Market Entry and Staff Hires

TUPELO, Miss., March 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Renasant Corporation (NASDAQ: RNST) today announced its entry into Mobile, Ala., as well as the hiring of Mark Fillers as Renasant's South Alabama President, and multiple staffing hires for the Bank.

Renasant's new office is located at 165 West I-65 Service Road N., in Mobile. In addition, the location will house two mortgage lenders and three mortgage support team members along with banking and lending personnel.

"Our entrance into Mobile adds another dynamic market to our Alabama service footprint as Renasant is now in 9 of the state's top 10 cities by population," said Renasant Alabama President, John Bentley. "Mark Fillers is a tremendous addition to Renasant, and we look forward to his leadership as he builds our South Alabama banking team."

Mark Fillers

Prior to joining Renasant, Fillers served the South Alabama market in commercial banking for more than 15 years.  In his new role at Renasant, Fillers will be responsible for leading a team of bankers in the Bank's South Alabama market and establishing a Loan Production Office.

Fillers, a Mobile native, graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship. He also completed his MBA through Auburn University's Executive MBA program.

Active in his community, Fillers serves in a leadership role in the University of South Alabama's Upward and Onward campaign and serves as the chairman of the board of directors for the United Way of Southwest Alabama. 

Fillers has served in several other board capacities including the Board of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce and the Mobile Area Council Boy Scouts of America Executive Board.

He and his wife, Erin, have three children, David, William and James. The Fillers are active members of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church.

Ryan New and April DePaola

Joining the Renasant team are Ryan New and April DePaola.  New will serve as senior vice president and commercial relationship manager.  New has more than 13 years of banking experience with 10 years focused in commercial banking. 

DePaola will serve as vice president and wealth management relationship manager and has more than 9 years of banking experience concentrated in wealth management. 

Renasant Mortgage Lending

Renasant has put together a team of mortgage veterans to service the Mobile area.  Senior Mortgage Originators Suzanne Chatten and Noel Turner bring more than 50 years of combined experience in the mortgage business. 

The mortgage team includes on-site support of Deedee Webb, with 19 years' experience, Lisa Stauter, with 23 years' experience as loan processors, and 40-year industry veteran Della Brewer as the closing agent.
