Range Resources Corp. Announces 35% Retreat In Q4 Profit

(RTTNews) - Range Resources Corp. (RRC) revealed a profit for fourth quarter that dropped compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $41.76 million, or $0.25 per share. This was down from $64.55 million, or $0.39 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.12 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 39.0% to $254.04 million. This was down from $416.39 million last year.
