R/GA Welcomes World Class Creative Steve Olderman; Advertising Veteran Brings Expertise in Direct Marketing, General Advertising and Retail to R/GA

R/GA, the New York-based advertising agency that iscentered in interactive, today announced the addition of SteveOlderman to its Creative team. With over 25 years as an award-winningcreative leader on both the agency and client sides, Olderman brings aunique breadth of integrated advertising experience to R/GA.

Olderman's career highlights include nearly thirteen years withDigitas. He joined the agency's Boston office in 1991 (when it wasstill named Bronner Slosberg Humphrey) where he headed the creativeteam on AT&T, then the agency's largest account, later adding FidelityInvestments and L.L. Bean to his portfolio. In 1998, he helped launchthe agency's first branch office, in New York. As Executive VicePresident/Executive Creative Director, he managed the creative side ofthe office's flagship American Express account, expanded the stafffive-fold, and successfully combined the offline and online creativeteams into one integrated department, something that most agenciestoday have yet to accomplish.

Previously, Olderman was Senior Vice President at Barnes & NobleBookstores where he had overall creative responsibility for the launchof the Barnes & Noble superstores in 1990. Working with an outsidearchitectural firm and Barnes & Noble's own book merchandisers,Olderman helped create the look and feel of the stores, including thefixtures, signage, cafe murals, casual seating, bookmarks, shoppingbags, plus all the advertising and communication materials.
