PriceSmart July Net Warehouse Club Sales Rise 5.4%

(RTTNews) - PriceSmart, Inc. (PSMT) Thursday said that for the month of July, net warehouse club sales increased 5.4 percent to $198.6 million from $188.5 million in July last year.

For the eleven months ended July 31, net warehouse club sales increased 9.3 percent to $2.238 billion from $2.047 billion for the eleven months ended July 31, 2013.

There were 33 warehouse clubs in operation at the end of July 2014 and 31 warehouse clubs in operation at the end of July 2013.

For the four weeks ended July 27, comparable warehouse sales for the 31 warehouse clubs open at least 13 1/2 full months increased 1.8 percent.

For the forty-seven week period ended July 27, comparable warehouse sales increased 5.1 percent, compared to the comparable forty-seven week period a year ago.
