Piper Jaffray Broadens Technology Equity Research with Addition of Harsh Kumar

Piper Jaffray Companies (NYSE: PJC), a leading investment bank and asset management firm, is pleased to announce the hiring of Harsh Kumar as a senior research analyst in equity research, responsible for semiconductor coverage. He will be based in the firm’s Memphis office.

Kumar brings 20 years of experience in equity research covering the technology sector. He joined Piper Jaffray from Stephens, Inc., where he was a managing director and led the firm’s semiconductor coverage. Prior to that, Kumar spent nearly 12 years as a semiconductor analyst at Morgan Keegan. The Wall Street Journal recognized Kumar in it list of Best on the Street analysts in 2008 and 2010 for his semiconductor expertise.

Kumar earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and a bachelor’s degree in production engineering from University of Poona in western India.
