Pernix Therapeutics Appoints Sanjay Patel As CFO

(RTTNews) - Pernix Therapeutics Holdings, Inc. (PTX) said MOnday that it has appointed Sanjay Patel as Chief Financial Officer.

Patel brings to Pernix over 15 years of investment banking, institutional investment and public policy experience. According to Pernix, Patel has assisted specialty pharmaceutical and healthcare companies raise more than $7 billion in initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, debt offerings and private placements. He has served as a financial advisor on a variety of mergers, acquisitions and strategic alliances. While on the buyside at a $5bn fund, Patel was responsible for a global portfolio of generic and specialty pharmaceutical holdings. He also worked with the William J. Clinton Foundation and the Global Fund to negotiate and implement long-term supply agreements for HIV and malaria drugs throughout the developing world.
