Packaging Corp. of America Reveals Increase In Q4 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Packaging Corp. of America (PKG) revealed a profit for its fourth quarter that climbed compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $147.1 million, or $1.56 per share. This was up from $116.1 million, or $1.23 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.51 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 13.5% to $1.68 billion. This was up from $1.48 billion last year.
