Orbitz Worldwide Promotes Chris Orton To COO - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Orbitz Worldwide (OWW), online travel company, announced Monday that it promoted Chris Orton to Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately.

Chris joined Orbitz Worldwide in 2010 as Chief Marketing Officer, and in 2011 was named President of Orbitz.com and CheapTickets, the Company's online travel agency brands in the United States.

As Chief Operating Officer Chris will have responsibility for all of the Orbitz Worldwide online travel agency brands worldwide including Orbitz.com, CheapTickets and ebookers, which operates in 12 countries across Europe.

Before joining to Orbitz, Chris was senior director of Internet marketing at eBay, Inc., responsible for the company's paid search, shopping comparison, search engine optimization, affiliates and display marketing channels. Chris joined eBay in 2003 after 8 years of CRM and ERP consulting at Kana Software, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Andersen Consulting (Accenture).
