Oracle Q4 Profit Declines; Declares Quarterly Dividend - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Oracle Corp. (ORCL) reported fourth-quarter net income of $3.6 billion, compared to $3.8 billion in the comparable quarter last year. Earnings per share for the latest fourth quarter were $0.80, same as last year.

Excluding items, adjusted net income was $4.2 billion or $0.92 per share, compared to $4.1 billion or $0.87 per share in the prior year quarter. On average, 34 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.95 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenue for the latest fourth quarter rose 3% to $11.32 billion from $10.95 billion a year ago, while adjusted revenue also rose to $11.33 billion from $10.96 billion last year. Analysts expected revenue of $11.48 billion for the fourth quarter.

Further, the Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.12 per share of outstanding common stock, which will be paid to stockholders of record as of the close of business on July 9, 2014, with a payment date of July 30, 2014.
