OneAZ Credit Union, OneAZ Community Foundation Support Local Communities By Awarding $55,000 Through Community Impact Grant Program
PHOENIX, Oct. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- With a long-standing commitment to helping people in the communities it serves, OneAZ Credit Union and OneAZ Community Foundation have awarded $55,000 in grants to 34 local non-profit organizations from across the state. The awards are part of the Credit Union and Community Foundation's Community Impact Grant program, which provides much-needed funds to organizations that offer a wide range of community services.
"Serving our community by acknowledging the tireless work of local non-profit champions is a fundamental cornerstone of OneAZ Credit Union's culture, which is why we are so proud to give back to deserving non-profits through the Community Impact Grants program. For more than six decades, we have supported the noble missions of organizations across Arizona that are actively helping communities thrive and prosper," said Sam J. Wheeler, Board Chair of OneAZ Community Foundation.
Earlier this year, OneAZ Credit Union and OneAZ Community Foundation invited non-profits to apply for a series of grants, which fund initiatives that benefit the communities the credit union serves and enhance their quality of life. More specifically, OneAZ Community Foundation sought programs that align with its key focus area of economic development, while making a measurable local impact. Ranging between $500 and $2,500, the grants will fund programs that provide a direct benefit to the communities.
