NTT Com To Trial Enhanced DDoS Defense Orchestrator System

(RTTNews) - NTT Communications Corp. Thursday said it would trial an enhanced DDoS orchestrator system to detect, analyze and defend against distributed denial of service attacks using a testing environment constructed by multiple security companies, starting June 8.

DDoS are attacks on computer networks wherein a number of computers distributed among multiple networks simultaneously send connection requests to a network or group of computers to overload their channel capacity and shut them down.

The trial will test the operability of unique channel-control technology developed by NTT Com to minimize the negative effects, like delays in normal communications, of implementing a DDoS defense.
