Nissan U.S.A August Sales Rise 22.3% - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Nissan U.S.A (NSANY.PK) Wednesday reported August sales of 120,498 vehicles, up 22.3 percent over 98,515 vehicles in the same period last year.

Nissan Division sales grew 24.3 percent to 108,614 units from 87,360 units last year, while sales of Infiniti vehicles totaled 11,884 units, up 6.5 percent from 11,155 units last year. The company exceeded 100,000 retail sales during August.

Nissan Altima recorded sales of 30,976 units, up 19.6 percent from last year. Sentra model sales jumped 18.7 percent to 12,605 units, in spite of low inventory levels.

With deliveries of 2,420 units, Nissan LEAF had record sales growth in August. Sales in new wave markets continue to grow, with Atlanta taking the crown as the No. 1 LEAF market in August.

Pathfinder sales totaled 8,859 units, up 258.4 percent from last year. Sales of Rogue crossovers increased 36.8 percent to 17,273 units over last year.
