Netflix Q3 Profit Tops Estimate

(RTTNews) - Netflix, Inc. (NFLX) reported net income for the third quarter of $59.3 million or $0.96 per share, compared to $31.8 million or $0.52 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Revenue for the third quarter rose to $1.41 billion from $1.11 billion a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.93 per share on revenue of $1.41 billion for the third quarter.

Looking forward to the fourth quarter, the company forecasts earnings of $0.44 per share. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $0.85 per share for the fourth quarter.
