NetApp Honors Customers With 2008 NetApp Innovation Awards
NetApp (NASDAQ:NTAP) will honor the winners of the 2008 NetApp Innovation Awards at an awards ceremony today at Hotel Valencia in San Jose, California. The NetApp Innovation Awards recognize customers who implemented NetApp® solutions in an innovative way to positively impact their business.
More than 300 nominees competed for awards this year in the following seven categories: Innovator of the Year, Enterprise Business Applications, Enterprise Infrastructure, Green, Public Sector, Individual, and Humanitarian. One winner and two finalists were selected in each category by a third-party panel of judges that consisted of distinguished business and technology experts from the media and business communities. The Innovator of the Year category recognizes one winner from each of the following three global geographies: Americas, APAC, and EMEA.
"NetApp Innovation Awards honor NetApp customers who have demonstrated the most creativity, thought leadership, and best practices and embody the NetApp ‘can do’ and ‘create a model company’ spirit,” said Dan Warmenhoven, chairman and CEO of NetApp. "We were impressed with the caliber of the nominees, finalists, and winners of this year’s awards, which illustrates how our customers have harnessed the power of NetApp solutions in innovative ways to improve their storage efficiency and enable customer breakthroughs.”
