    RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 16, 2005--NEC Solutions (America), Inc., a premier provider of integrated solutions for the Connected Enterprise in North America, today announced that Kurt Schwenk has been promoted to general manager of NEC Solutions America's Digital Cinema Division, which is dedicated to the creation and delivery of digital media solutions for advertising and feature films in theatres and public spaces.

With over 21 years in the entertainment industry, having worked for Warner Brothers, The Walt Disney Company, Lucasfilm Ltd., Dolby Laboratories, Qualcomm, and Macrovision, his connection to digital cinema began with the first digital cinema feature film presentation, Star Wars, Episode I, where his division oversaw the digital cinema transfer and playback for Lucasfilm.
