NEC Solutions America Expands Media Solutions Division; Names Director of Digital Cinema Projector Sales and Manager of Digital Cinema Engineering

    RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 8, 2005--NEC Solutions (America), Inc., a premier provider of integrated solutions for the Connected Enterprise in North America, expanded the management team of its Media Solutions Division, by today announcing the appointment of digital projection veterans Peter Nicholas as director of digital cinema projector sales, and Robert Lelle as manager of digital cinema engineering.
    Both appointments underscore NEC Solutions America's continued commitment to delivering high quality and cost-effective digital media solutions. The Media Solutions Division leverages NEC's world-class expertise in visual display and server products, and integration services to develop specialized, turnkey solutions for the delivery and management of digital content.

    Peter Nicholas will oversee sales of NEC's STAR*Beam(TM) DLP Cinema(R) projector product line, including the STAR*Beam iS8 projector and STAR*Beam iS15 projector, as well as future DLP Cinema projector offerings. Bob Lelle will manage the engineering development of NEC's industry-leading STARUS(TM) digital cinema system including the STAR*Cor(TM) multiplex server, the STAR*Show(TM) screen servers, and the STAR*Beam DLP Cinema projectors.
    Nicholas previously worked for Digital Projection International (DPI), most recently as the director of digital cinema sales and marketing for the Americas, where he was instrumental in developing the company's digital cinema business strategy.
