NCI Building Systems Announces 117% Advance In Q1 Profit

(RTTNews) - NCI Building Systems (NCS) reported a profit for its first quarter that gained ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $4.89 million, or $0.07 per share. This was up from $2.25 million, or $0.03 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.02 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 14.6% to $370.01 million. This was up from $322.93 million last year.
