Monolithic Power Reports Q3 EPS In Line

(RTTNews) - Monolithic Power Systems (MPWR) reported net income for the third quarter of $11.2 million or $0.28 per share, compared to $7.4 million or $0.19 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted net income for the third quarter was $18.3 million or $0.46 per share, compared to $12.8 million or $0.33 per share in the prior year quarter.

Net revenue for the third quarter rose 19.9% to $78.3 million from $65.3 million in the third quarter of 2013.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.46 per share on revenue of $77.79 million for the third quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking forward, the company forecasts fourth quarter revenue of $72 million to $76 million. Analysts currently expect the company to post revenue of $74.33 million for the fourth quarter.
