Melco Crown Q2 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Melco Crown Entertainment Limited (MPEL) reported that its second-quarter net income to company increased to $181.05 million or $0.11 per share, from $82.26 million or $0.05 per share, last year. Net income per ADS was $0.33, compared to $0.15 prior year.

Adjusted net income per share to company was $0.12 for the quarter. Adjusted net income per ADS to company was $0.35 for the quarter.

On average, ten analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.28 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net revenues increased to $1.30 billion, from $938.51 million last year. Analysts expected revenue of $1.21 billion for the quarter. The company said the increase in net revenue was primarily attributable to higher group-wide rolling chip revenues and mass market gross gaming revenues.
