McKesson Corp. Q3 adjusted earnings Beat Estimates

(RTTNews) - McKesson Corp. (MCK) reported a profit for third quarter that declined from the same period last year.

The company's profit came in at $469 million, or $2.40 per share. This compares with $903 million, or $4.33 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Excluding items, McKesson Corp. reported adjusted earnings of $664 million or $3.40 per share for the period.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $3.16 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 4.8% to $56.21 billion from $53.62 billion last year.
