McKesson Corp. Q2 Earnings Climb 18%

(RTTNews) - McKesson Corp. (MCK) released a profit for its second quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $776 million, or $3.31 per share. This was up from $657 million, or $2.79 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $2.99 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 10.4% to $48.76 billion. This was up from $44.16 billion last year.
