Manitowoc Q3 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - The Manitowoc Co., Inc. (MTW) Thursday reported third-quarter net earnings attributable to the company of $52.9 million, or $0.39 per share, compared to $22.2 million, or $0.17 per share in the same period last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter was $52.5 million or $0.39 per share. On average, 14 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.32 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net sales increased 7.1 percent to $1.01 billion from $947.5 million last year, while thirteen analysts expected revenues of $1.04 billion.
