LitePoint Test Software for CSR UniFi, the World's Smallest Wi-Fi Chipset

CSR plc (LSE:CSR) and LitePoint Corporation, today announced theavailability of the LitePoint IQfact(TM) production test software forCSR's UniFi(TM) Wi-Fi chipsets. The software package, currentlyavailable in single-user and site-license versions, runs on theworld's leading one-box testers, IQview(R) and IQflex(TM) fromLitePoint. The IQfact software is the only test solution available onthe market today that enables single-pass testing of products withintegrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v2.0+EDR technologies, savingsubstantial manufacturing costs over dual-pass testing. CSR will bedemonstrating the software along with its UniFi, the world's smallestWi-Fi silicon, at 3GSM World Congress, February 13-16, 2006, inBarcelona, Spain.

The IQfact for CSR's UniFi software integrates seamlessly intoexisting LitePoint IQview and IQflex API, allowing simple turnkeytesting of CSR UniFi-based devices - for both R&D and manufacturingapplications. IQview and IQflex software currently supports802.11a/b/g and turbo mode Wi-Fi testing as well as the nextgeneration MIMO products. When the dual RF port testers are used withboth IQfact for CSR and LitePoint Bluetooth software with CSR testprograms, they save time for OEMs by allowing one-pass testing ofCSR's Wi-Fi / Bluetooth v2.0+EDR integrated products.

LitePoint IQfact for CSR comes complete with Wi-Fi manufacturingtest programs including setup, calibration and verification teststhrough an easy-to-use graphical user interface. User access to testflow, limits and set-up parameters is available with support for MediaAccess Control (MAC) address assignment and data logging is alsoincluded.
