Lindab International AB: Lindab delivers another energy efficient building for around 60 MSEK to Catenas concept plant in Varalöv

09 March 2016

Catena subsidiary Queenswall AB now continues the construction of its concept facility for e-commerce logistics in Varalöv, Sweden. In the first phase that already have commenced Lindab supplies a building of 14,000 square meters. Now it is also official that Lindab will deliver a second building of 42,000 square meters.

Both of the buildings will use the heating system Tellus, which in combination with Lindab's energy efficient panels and ventilation create a sustainable future regarding the energy consumption. Catena will be able to present buildings with very good values that are Green Building certified.

In the new 42,000 square meter building, the company Boozt Fashion AB have signed a 15-year lease with Catena.

"We at Lindab are convinced it will be a good development for Boozt in Varalöv. We ourselves are a tenant of Catena in several of the 30 locations in Sweden where we have stock, says Joakim Lönnberg, CEO, Lindab Sverige AB."

The entire new area of logistics in Varalöv is dedicated to e-commerce and consists of a possible logistics area of 77 000 square meters. Catena has given the area the name E-CITY Engelholm.

"We have previously built premises with Boozt as a tenant, now they have grown out of the old premises and therefore it is very inspiring to be onboard on their journey and deliver a large building that meets their changing needs, says Tomas Ledel, Project Manager at Lindab."

Construction on the new building will begin early spring 2016 and is scheduled for completion end of March 2017.
