Under this award to Pomeroy, state agencies will be able to purchase the entire line of Lexmark's award-winning laser products as well as extended warranty services, printer accessories, consumables and professional services. Previously, state agencies could purchase both Lexmark and HP devices from three different service providers, including Pomeroy.

The contract is good for up to six years if all renewal options are exercised and covers all state government agencies and cabinets. In addition, K-12 public schools, state higher education institutions and local governments within the state also have the option to purchase products under the terms of this contract. The contract is estimated to have an annual value of more than $3 million.

"Pomeroy has provided IT support to the Commonwealth of Kentucky for more than 10 years," said Ann Hook, vice president of sales for Pomeroy. "By working with Lexmark on this contract, we are now able to provide state employees with superior cost savings as well as access to high-quality, reliable products and solutions."

Lexmark and Pomeroy will also work together to help individual offices consolidate devices and develop solutions to streamline paper processes and reduce costs for the state.

"Lexmark is focused on providing our customers not only with advanced technology, but also workflow solutions to help them to be more productive and more efficient," said Paul Rooke, Lexmark executive vice president and president of its Printing Solutions and Services Division. "We are looking forward to partnering with Pomeroy to help drive those solutions for state and local agencies, public schools, and state universities across our home state."
