KONE to equip mixed-use development in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China

KONE, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, has won an order to supply 94 elevators and escalators to Hangzhou G.T. Land Plaza, a multi-use building situated in the city of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province in Eastern China.

Designed by the internationally renowned SOM architecture company, Hangzhou G.T. Land Plaza contains a high-end hotel, office space, a shopping mall and serviced apartments. Located in an emerging central business district in Hangzhou, the building will feature three towers with 46 floors each.

To create a smooth ride experience that complements the architectural design and the expectations of the customer and the building visitors, KONE will deliver 32 KONE MiniSpace(TM) elevators, 20 KONE MonoSpace® elevators and 42 KONE TravelMaster(TM) escalators. The building will also feature KONE's Destination Control System and E-Link monitoring system for optimized people flow.

Hangzhou G.T. Land Plaza is developed by GaoDi (Hangzhou) Real Estate Development Co., Ltd and will be built by China Construction First Building Group Co., Ltd.

The order was booked in the fourth quarter of 2014.
